Sober house where Presley Gerber died faced prior suspected overdose call in February
Police records reveal emergency officials responded to a separate possible overdose call at the Santa Monica facility earlier this year.

The sober living facility where Presley Gerber passed away from a suspected overdose last month previously had law enforcement respond to a separate possible overdose call earlier this year. Police records obtained by TMZ indicate that officials visited the property months prior to the incident involving the model.
Police Records Detail Prior Visit
According to records from the Santa Monica Police Department, authorities responded to a call from Resolutions Living on Feb. 18 after an individual expressed concern that a patient may have overdosed. A source indicated to the outlet that the event involved an unresponsive woman who was ultimately revived.
Police officers reportedly arrived at the location, spoke with the individual, and departed without transporting her to a hospital. A source added that it took multiple doses of Narcan to restore consciousness to the patient. Narcan, also known as naloxone, functions as a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses.
Facility Background and Leadership
Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, was staying at the $7.7 million rehabilitation property in Santa Monica, California, when he died in September. It remains unclear whether the patient from the February incident was present at the facility during Gerber's stay. Resolutions Living states on its website that the property offers addiction and mental health support with a staff catering to individual resident needs.
Reza Nabavi, the founder and owner of the facility, previously faced complications obtaining his psychology license due to a criminal history involving drugs. Records show Nabavi was arrested in February 2002 after police found him asleep in a vehicle, leading to a no-contest plea for misdemeanor drug possession and 36 months of probation. Following a second arrest that May, he entered another no-contest plea for drug possession. He eventually registered as a psychologist in California in 2006 under probation terms, and his license remains valid until 2028.
Circumstances Surrounding Gerber's Death
Prior reports confirmed that Gerber, who experienced well-documented challenges with substance abuse, addiction, and mental health, was admitted to the facility on a Saturday, just one day prior to his death. Sources with direct knowledge indicated that the model appeared visibly under the influence at the time of his arrival. Gerber passed away from a suspected overdose, though his official cause of death has not yet been confirmed by authorities.
The ongoing attention surrounding the facility highlights scrutiny on its operations following the tragic event. While investigations and records continue to shed light on the history of the location, further details regarding the official cause of Gerber's death remain pending.
