Savannah Chrisley defends unborn child as backlash mounts over Jason Galanis engagement
The reality star spoke out on social media and her podcast, addressing public scrutiny regarding her pregnancy and engagement to Jason Galanis.

Savannah Chrisley has strongly defended her unborn child following intense public backlash surrounding her pregnancy and engagement to Jason Galanis. The reality television personality addressed the mounting criticism directly on social media and her podcast after announcing that she is expecting her first child and preparing to marry her new partner.
Addressing the Public Scrutiny
The Chrisley Knows Best alum shared a sonogram image on her Instagram Stories to address the negativity surrounding her personal life. She emphasized that her child is entirely innocent and should not be judged by the actions or backgrounds of others. She stated that the baby is deeply loved and serves as the greatest blessing to both her and her fiancé.
She wrote that her child is not defined by anyone else's past, mistakes, or opinions. Adding that no amount of outside noise would overshadow the joy of motherhood, she called the baby an answered prayer and declared that she would never apologize for celebrating the new arrival. Her public comments followed immediate online discussion regarding her relationship with Galanis, a 56-year-old convicted fraudster who is 27 years older than the 29-year-old television personality.
Defending the Age Gap
During an episode of her Unlocked podcast released on Tuesday, Chrisley directly addressed the significant age gap between herself and her fiancé. She explained her perspective on dating an older partner, noting that she prefers a shorter timeframe of exceptional partnership over a longer period of average companionship. She stated that she would rather have twenty phenomenal years with someone than fifty just fine years.
Praising her fiancé, Chrisley maintained that he does not look or act his age. She described him as having a sharp mind and praised his physical appearance, pushing back against critics who focused heavily on their twenty-seven-year age difference.
Shared Backgrounds and Prison History
Reports identified Chrisley's fiancé as a former associate of Hunter Biden who testified during a congressional impeachment inquiry while still incarcerated. Galanis was sentenced to more than fourteen years in prison in September 2020 for participating in financial schemes, including one that defrauded investors and a Native American tribe out of tens of millions of dollars.
Galanis shares a notable connection to the Chrisley family through her father, Todd Chrisley. Both men served time at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, and their respective prison sentences overlapped between January and August 2023. Additionally, both men received presidential pardons, with Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, having been pardoned in May 2025 following their convictions for bank fraud and tax evasion.
The announcements mark a significant new chapter for Chrisley as she prepares for motherhood amidst ongoing public attention directed toward her relationship and her fiancé's background.
