Raye has announced a special one-off concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, which will see the singer reimagine her sophomore album This Music May Contain Hope with a full orchestra.

Royal Albert Hall Performance Details

The upcoming gig is titled This Symphony May Contain Hope and is scheduled to take place at the historic South Kensington venue on Friday, October 23. During the concert, the London-born artist will perform her critically acclaimed sophomore record in full, presenting each track as a fully realized orchestral arrangement. She will be joined on stage by her band, The Heritage Orchestra, and the Flames Collective, delivering live renditions of popular tracks such as "Where Is My Husband!" alongside the orchestral arrangements.

New Abbey Road Recording Released

To celebrate the announcement, the singer shared a brand-new orchestral version of the album track "I Will Overcome" as a preview for the upcoming concert. The taster track was recorded at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios alongside the London Symphony Orchestra. Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall performance are scheduled to go on general sale on Thursday, October 15 at 10 am, while pre-sale access options begin earlier on Tuesday, October 13.

History of Orchestral Collaborations

This upcoming performance marks the second time the artist has presented her music in this specific format at the venue. She previously staged a one-night-only concert at the Royal Albert Hall backed by a 50-piece Heritage Orchestra and the Flames Collective in 2023, performing material from My 21st Century Blues. That earlier concert was filmed and later released as Live At The Royal Albert Hall, which was broadcast on the BBC and PBS and nominated for Best Music Film at the 68th Grammy Awards. Following that critical success, she brought her My 21st Century Symphony show to a sold-out audience at The O2 in 2024 with the same orchestral partners.

Recent Projects and Future Appearances

The announcement follows a busy period of high-profile appearances for the performer. Last month, she performed at the 2026 MTV VMAs alongside Sombr and Teddy Swims for a special tribute to George Michael, following major headline sets earlier in the summer. During a performance marking the 60th anniversary of the Montreux Jazz Festival, she welcomed Alicia Keys and Mark Ronson to the stage. Beyond her music career, she is also preparing to make her acting debut in Yann Demange’s upcoming crime thriller Lineage, which features a cast including Jason Bateman and Jude Law.

The newly announced October concert at the Royal Albert Hall continues the musician's exploration of grand orchestral arrangements for her studio material.
