James Blunt Breaks Silence on Romesh Ranganathan Feud Rumours After The Celebrity Traitors
Singer James Blunt has cleared the air regarding alleged tensions with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Romesh Ranganathan following their dramatic finale showdown.

Singer James Blunt has publicly addressed rumours of a feud between him and fellow contestant Romesh Ranganathan following their appearance on the BBC One reality series The Celebrity Traitors. The tense conclusion to the game saw Blunt make it all the way to the final roundtable before being eliminated by his fellow faithfuls just moments before the end of the competition.
Tense Finale Showdown
During the dramatic finale of the programme, comedian Romesh Ranganathan grew suspicious of Blunt at the very last minute. The shift in suspicion occurred after Blunt dismissed the parting comments made by banished Traitor Maya Jama. Jama had told the remaining contestants to look out for themselves, which Ranganathan interpreted as a warning that a Traitor remained hidden among them.
Although Blunt dismissed the comment as meaningless, Ranganathan briefly voted to banish him. While actor Sebastian "Bash" Croft initially talked Ranganathan out of it, leading them to banish Kenny instead, subsequent rounds proved more fractious. Bash and Ranganathan ultimately voted for the endgame, but an angry Blunt voted for a further banishment, sealing his own exit from the series.
Clearing the Air on Radio
Despite the strained circumstances of his departure, James Blunt insisted during an appearance on Hits Radio that there are no hard feelings between the two men. The singer described his former castmate as a very sweet human being and assured listeners that they get along exceptionally well in real life.
To further dispel any notion of lingering bad blood, Blunt revealed that Ranganathan has actually donated some money to his chosen charity, the Blue Marine Foundation. When asked about the donation on air, the singer confirmed that the comedian had indeed contributed to the cause.
Charity Wins and Family Pride
The winning contestants of the series divided their £83,000 prize pot between chosen charities. Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft split the winnings to support Choose Love and the Refugee Council. Croft noted that his share would aid refugees and displaced people, with a particular focus on queer refugees through an organization he previously volunteered for.
For Ranganathan, the victory was also a family affair. The 48-year-old comedian shared that his 11-year-old son, Charlie, was the one who originally encouraged him to sign up for the show. Ranganathan expressed hope that his family would be proud of the achievement, joking in his trademark deadpan style that his family should now show him some respect.
The resolution of the alleged feud highlights the camaraderie that often persists behind the scenes of high-stakes reality television once the cameras stop rolling.
